This role sits within the Strategic Remediation Control Office, which leads the Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. The Office leads US oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the Firm's capabilities across multiple lines of defense working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology and Audit. The team ensures alignment of the portfolio of projects remains within groupwide strategic priorities and successfully implemented to achieve the intended benefit and outcomes.
Your key responsibilities
• Establishing holistic, comprehensive programs of work that achieve business objectives. Partnering with global and regional executives to shape roadmap and execution approach with critical eye to risk and control. Lead team and oversee program of work, performing appropriate analyses, and actionable management information and presented to the relevant governance bodies and committees
• Set high standard of quality delivery, identify requirements and source complexity, identify and manage required expertise and resources with pro-active issue resolution and risk management
• Close collaboration with global efforts with potential to run both local and global streams of work, but consistently driving to common outcome with conscious governance of alignment
• Executive communications with regular regulatory engagement
• Build strong planning and execution team, actively coaching members within
• Responsibility and management of (cross-) divisional peer reviews and drive development of internal best practices
• Ensuring the documentation and tracking of program/project relevant (inter-) dependencies, risks, issues, actions for mitigations and other related artefacts
• Ensuring that an appropriate program steering group is in place, providing a targeted status reporting on a regular basis including transparency on risks, issues and dependencies, as well as making recommendations on any required decisions
• Responsible for active stakeholder engagement by ensuring a close collaboration with key stakeholders across DB and by working closely with SMEs (e.g. product specialists) to collect, balance and prioritize business requirements Your skills and experience
• Extensive working experience in the financial services industry and a clear understanding of Finance's key processes and systems
• Extensive working experience in managing large scale (cross divisional/multiple geographies) regulatory projects/program across the full project/program lifecycle along with previous experience in organizational analysis and design
• Significant experience in risk management, effectively identifying and assessing risks within a project/program along with developing and implementing sustainable mitigating actions
• Exposure to Sanctions transformation or subject matter beneficial
• Actively support the development of team members in identifying strengths and weaknesses, in providing suggestions for improvements and in maintaining a constructive and open feedback culture. Support knowledge sharing within the team in conducting coaching and trainings and thus drive for high performance
• Ability to effectively deliver results in environments or projects that are nonlinear, fast-paced, and often characterized by incomplete information and stakeholder disagreements delivering a timely and comprehensive output
• Advanced skills in effective stakeholder management along with advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss and face different points of view or disagreements in a constructive manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English across all levels along with the ability to quickly adapt communication styles to different audiences (for a position in Frankfurt as well in German)
• Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft products (e.g. Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project)
• Beneficial but not mandatory certificates in PRINCE 2, PMI, or any other project management certification
• Proactively seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and identifying potential sources for new ideas and approaches, leading to an improved performance Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York or London office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.
The salary range for this position in New York is $280,000 to $450,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
